Signs of toxic people

Toxic people can be difficult to deal with and can have a negative impact on our lives. Here are some signs of toxic people, along with explanations of what they mean:

Constant negativity: They often focus on the negative aspects of every situation. They may complain a lot, criticize others, and always see the glass as half-empty. Being around someone who is always negative can be draining and bring down our own mood and outlook on life.

Lack of empathy: Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of others but toxic people has lack empathy and be indifferent to the needs and feelings of others. They belittle or dismiss the concerns of others, and may not care about the impact their actions have on those around them.

Manipulation: They try to control others through guilt, fear, or other tactics. They may use emotional blackmail, such as threatening to end a relationship if they don't get what they want, or they may use gaslighting, which is when they try to make you doubt your own perceptions or feelings.

Judgmental: Toxic people are often quick to criticize and judge others. They may be harsh and critical, and may not take the time to understand the full story or context before making judgments. This can make others feel insecure and defensive around them.

Blaming others: They refuse to take responsibility for their actions and instead blame others for their problems. They may be quick to point fingers and deflect criticism, and may not take constructive feedback well.

Playing the victim: They see themselves as the victim in every situation, and refuse to take any responsibility for their own actions. They may use their victimhood to manipulate others or gain sympathy.

Gossiping: They talk about others behind their back, spreading rumors and negativity. They may thrive on drama and create conflict in relationships.

Unreliable: They not follow through on their promises or commitments. They may make plans and then cancel at the last minute, or may not show up at all. This can be frustrating and hurtful to those who rely on them.
